The pictured logo is a combination of 2000s-era logo art, with the original logo used on the spines/inlays of "Demo", "Metalourd", and "M.I.L.D." as well as several T-shirt and flyer designs until 1992. They have had dozens of logos over the years as well, but this one was used longer than any other. The artwork above the logo depicts the band's spiked-helmet-clad undead warrior mascot, featured in different designs and art styles on most of their album covers, all of their t-shirt designs, and many concert flyer designs, ever since his first appearance on their first t-shirt design in 1986 and his first widely-seen appearance on the "Metalourd" tape cover in 1989.. The band has a revolving door history with band members too numerous to mention, for the most part. The past members listed below are the most well-known. Metalourd has recorded 8 albums (released 7), 1 demo before all of these, and 3 compilations, including the 1989 "Metalourd" (mistakenly listed as a demo for years due to its rarity and cassette format, but considered by the band as a mini-album or EP). The band clarified this in a 2015 interview with Kenny Jockel.
