About
"Belfegor" comes from the biblical name "Baal-Peor", who is the God of the Moabites. It was worshiped in the form of a phallus and his cult was associated with intemperance and orgies. With the birth of Jewish monotheism, as opposed to the polytheism of the neighboring peoples, Beelphagor became a demonic figure to be destroyed for the Israelites and was thus demonized. In Christian demonology he is also depicted as one of the seven princes of hell and he represents the deadly sin of sloth. They released a demo a year before their album, with the same track titles. Compilation appearances: - "Vér És Sár" on Garázs II - Magyar Rock 1991 (Start, 1991, LP) - "Védtelen Megváltó" on Darázs I. - Rock Ki Mit Tud '93 (Cebus, 1993, Tape)
